Personal Pilates Training is conducted on the Pilates reformer, the Pilates chair, the ladder barrel, and the Trapeze table, also known as the Cadillac. This specialized Pilates equipment provides a specific resistance, giving you a significant extra challenge on the one hand, and support and feedback on the other, allowing you to clearly feel the goal of a particular movement. You will come to understand your body better and develop and improve healthy movement patterns. Your balance, coordination, strength, and flexibility are significantly challenged during the classes. After just a few sessions, you will notice an increase in your strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
In addition to Pilates equipment, Pilates Noord has various equipment for functional strength training. We perform exercises involving squatting, pushing, pulling, and rotating with weight or resistance. These movements have the greatest impact on activities you might encounter in daily life (e.g., lifting and carrying a heavy bag). In functional training, you try to mimic movements that challenge you in everyday life, with the goal of improving your capacity in these movements. For these workouts, we use, among other things, free weights, barbells, and a pulley station.
The private lessons are specially tailored for you. We discuss your personal goals in advance. The reformer lessons are also highly suitable if you are recovering from an injury or surgery, or if you have recently given birth. Exercise is essential when you are recovering and want to feel fit again. By exercising, you become physically and mentally stronger.
Personal training can also help support you in another sport or prepare you well for group classes on the mat and reformer group classes.
The personal training lessons are taught by certified personal trainers.
