PILATES ON THE MAT OR ON THE EQUIPMENT?

PILATES MAT CLASSES

Mat classes at  Pilates Noord  are taught in groups of a maximum of 13 people. The exercises are performed on a mat, and during the class we often use small balls, foam rollers, resistance bands, and light weights.

The emphasis is on training the deep muscles in your abdomen and back, also known as your “core,” using your breathing properly, and making the spine supple. Your balance and coordination will be challenged, and your strength, stability, flexibility, and mobility will certainly increase after a number of lessons. You will get to know your own body and movement patterns better.

We offer group classes at various levels, so you will always find a class that suits you.

The All Levels Pilates classes are accessible to both beginner and advanced Pilates practitioners. In the All Levels Pilates  classes, various options for the exercises are offered so that you can perform the exercises at your own level.

If you are looking for even more of a challenge, you can try the  Intermediate Pilates class. In the active Intermediate class, the emphasis is on training the abdominal and back muscles and making the spine supple. Your balance, strength, and coordination are challenged even more in this Intermediate class. The strength and stability of your core and your flexibility will certainly increase after a few lessons.  The Intermediate Pilates classes are suitable for somewhat more advanced Pilates practitioners without injuries who are looking for depth and challenge. The pace is a bit faster, the exercises are more complex, and there is more emphasis on strength and endurance.

Are you looking for a Pilates class with cardio training? Then give  Power Pilates a try.

In  Beginner Pilates,  you learn the essence of Pilates.
During the class, you gain insight into the Pilates method and learn how to apply the principles not only to all the different Pilates exercises but also in daily life. The emphasis of this class is on training the deep abdominal and back muscles, learning to use your breathing properly, and making the spine flexible.

PILATES ON THE REFORMER

The reformer is a unique and versatile Pilates apparatus developed by Joseph Pilates at the beginning of the last century. This special device works with coil springs that provide both resistance and support during the exercises.

Thanks to these springs, you experience exactly the right balance between challenge and control. They provide resistance to build strength, but also feedback that lets you clearly feel how a movement should be executed. You work intensively on your balance, coordination, muscle strength, and flexibility – every lesson challenges your body in a safe and effective way.

Reformer Pilates is suitable for everyone, from beginners to advanced. It aids in injury recovery and can also serve a preventative purpose to avoid complaints. Because you train in a controlled manner and under guidance, you build strength without overstraining your body.

At Pilates Noord, we train in small groups of a maximum of 6 people . This allows us to give everyone personal attention and respond effectively to individual needs. We look at your posture, technique, and any areas for improvement, so that you train safely and effectively and get the most out of every class.

We offer group classes at various levels, so you will always find a class that suits you. Would you prefer personal guidance? Then you can opt for a private lesson or a duo lesson. During personal training on the reformer, your body and your goal take center stage. We will discuss your wishes in detail beforehand and fully tailor the training to your needs.

Even when recovering from an injury or surgery, or if you have recently given birth, reformer Pilates is a safe and effective way to regain strength. Movement is essential in the recovery process – it not only makes you physically stronger but also gives you more mental energy and confidence. On the reformer, you train in a controlled, goal-oriented manner with attention to technique.
